YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Big changes might be headed to Commerce Street if the Town Board approves a proposal by the Chamber president to have traffic flow one-way on the busy roadway, according to Yorktown News.
The plan, presented by Yorktown Chamber of Commerce President Eric DiBartolo, will be presented to the Town Board on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall meeting room, 363 Underhill Ave., according to Yorktown News.
DiBartolo said that having one-way traffic will give the town a more "village-type" feel. Currently he is asking the town to consider the plan on a trial basis. If approved, traffic would flow in one direction from Friendly's to the firehouse, according to Yorktown News.
