Yorktown Looks To Crack Down On Dumping With Unique Means

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The Yorktown Town Board unanimously approved an amendment on June 21 that will make dumping from a vehicle a civil violation if caught in the act, according to The Examiner News.

The Town Code littering law is unique says Town Attorney Michael McDermott citing that throughout his research he couldn't find another municipality with similar legislation,  utilizing cameras to capture an image of a car license plate and the operator of the vehicle illegally dumping trash, according to The Examiner News.
