Also at the meeting, Devin Gregorio and Timothy Mullen were appointed police officers and a public hearing was scheduled for July 19 to discuss regulating speed in school and park zones, according to Citizens For An Informed Yorktown.

The board said that it would discuss the issue of whether the sale of used cars will be allowed on the Hilltop Service Station site, according to Citizens For An Informed Yorktown.

Supervisor Michael Grace said he expects the cost of the new garages to be fully covered by the proceeds from the sale of the vacated current garage. He also said that while an application for 60,000 square feet for both buildings has been submitted to the Planning Board, staff is still in the process of finalizing space needs that will take budget considerations into account, according to Citizens For An Informed Yorktown.
