YORKTOWN, N.Y. Yorktown emergency services volunteers will be given discounted pool passes under a new program announced this week by town board member David Paganelli.
Paganelli explained the program is for all volunteer emergency services workers, including volunteer fire fighters, volunteer ambulance corps members, junior corps members and police auxiliary members.
This program has been established to give back to those who protect and serve our community and risk their lives at any hour day or night, he said. We must never forget the selfless bravery and courage that our volunteers provide to this community.
Paganelli said those who are eligible will be given rates of $100 per family and $50 for a single pass. Paganelli serves as the Yorktown Town Boards liaison to the parks and recreation commission.
I support this endeavor and Im proud that we are looking for ways to benefit our emergency services volunteers, Paganelli said. We want to show that we are thankful for all that they do for this community. These men and women provide selfless work and dedication to our town.
