21-Year-Old Possessed Crack Cocaine, Yorktown Police Say

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. - A 21-year-old man found himself in trouble with the law in Yorktown after he was caught with a small amount of crack cocaine in Mohegan Lake.

A Connecticut man was charged with possession of a controlled substance and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court later this month.

Shortly before 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, Yorktown police responded to a Turus Lane home when they received a call of an activated alarm on the property.

According to police, upon arrival at the residence, they completed an investigation and determined that Somers, Conn., resident Ethan S. Gaudet was at the property and in possession of .2 grams of crack cocaine.

Gaudet was arrested and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance. Gaudet was arraigned by Judge Salvatore Lagonia and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
