State Police in Cortlandt and the Town of Yorktown Police Department conducted the sting recently in which a 19-year-old operative went into the establishments and attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages without being asked to show any identification.

Fulgum's Restaurant and Bar, in Cortlandt, was the only business accused of selling to the under-age operative.

The employee involved and the business were accused of violating the state's Alcohol Beverage Control Law and were issued tickets.

The following establishments did not sell alcohol to the minor, police said:

  • Murphy's Restaurant and Bar, 355 Kear St., Yorktown Heights.
  • Finnegan's Grill, 347 Downing Ave., Yorktown Heights.
  • Kirby's Grill and Bar, 345 Kear St., Yorktown Heights.
  • South Side Sports Bar and Grille, 1927 Commerce St., Yorktown Heights.
