Putnam Man Bills Lakeland Lumber Purchase To Ex-Employer, Police Say

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A 46-year-old Putnam County man was charged with buying building material at a Shrub Oak business and charging the cost to the account of a former employer.

State police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Jorge Granda of Lake Peekskill in Putnam Valley on Tuesday, Oct. 25 and charged him with falsifying business records in the first degree, a Class E felony.

This arrest came after an investigation revealed that Granda made the purchase at Interstate Lakeland Lumber in Shrub Oak.

Granda was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to the Town of Yorktown Court on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
