Stolen Headphones, Alleged $1,200 Theft, Top Mount Kisco Police Blotter

A 27-year-old suspect was busted by Westchester County Police officers after allegedly stealing headphones and attempting to flee the area.

Staff members at the Rite Aid on South Moger Avenue in Mount Kisco reported a shoplifting incident shortly before 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20. Officers were instructed that a suspect from  Thornwood had taken the headphones, valued at $34.95 and ran out of the store in the direction of the train station.

After he was located, police detained and arrested German Maceira-Villalobos, 27, who was charged with petit larceny. Following his arraignment, Maceira-Villalobos was released and is due back in Mount Kisco Justice Court on Thursday, Sept. 27 to answer the charge.

Other items on the Mount Kisco Police blotter from Monday, Sept. 17 through Friday, Sept. 21 include:

  • On Friday, Sept. 21, Westchester County Police responded to Mountain Avenue on a report that a contractor working in the area had damaged a gas line. Con Edison was notified and responded to the scene to make minor repairs.
  • That same day, a Barker Street resident reported to police that someone had entered his unlocked car overnight and took a small amount of cash.
  • A Grove Street resident reported that $1,000 was stolen from the center console of his vehicle on Tuesday, Sept. 18. Police noted that the car was unlocked in the driveway overnight.
  • Detectives from the Westchester County Police General Investigations Unit charged Mount Kisco resident Zuly Martinez-Payes, 34, with grand larceny following an investigation into the theft of $1,200 from a Maple Avenue business. She was released and is scheduled to appear in Mount Kisco Justice Court on Oct. 4.
