Two-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Commercial Building In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown was the site of a literal dumpster fire Tuesday night.

Firefighters responded to a two-alarm dumpster fire at a one-story commercial building at 1550 Front Street, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.  The dumpster was next to a structure, and firefighters discovered the building was also on fire, calling for additional units, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. 

Firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly and remained on the scene for 90 minutes, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.

The Buchanan Engine Company, Bedford Hills Fire Department, Millwood Fire Department, Lake Mohegan Professional Firefighters Local 2956/Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association, Ossining Fire Department and Somers Volunteer Fire Department provided assistance.
