An argument inside a car led to the arrest of a Westchester woman who was allegedly violating an Order of Protection in Yorktown.

Shortly before 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday night, officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to the parking lot of a local shopping center, where there was a report of two people arguing inside a car.

Police said that upon arrival, officers were able to locate the vehicle and the investigation into the incident found that Valhalla resident Lauren Trent, 33, was in violation of a Temporary Order of Protection that had been issued in Mount Pleasant. She had been barred from having any communication with the second person inside the car.

Trent was transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters, where she was charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal contempt. She was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bond or $1,500 cash bail. She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Aug. 9 to answer the charge.
