YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a 53-year-old homeless woman for trespassing at the Yorktown Cultural Community Center.
Police received a call from an employee of Yorktown reporting a woman was trespassing at the community center on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 8:50 p.m., according to police.
Officers were dispatched and conducted an investigation revealing that the woman, identified as Ada Beneraf, was inside the building after being warned that she was no longer permitted on the property, officials report.
Beneraf was taken into custody and brought to Police Headquarters for processing; she was charged with trespass, a penal law violation, police report.
After processing, Beneraf was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, March 31, according to officials.
