Shakeema L. Chavis was arrested by New York State Troopers on Dec. 22 after prison officials found her in possession of heroin and cocaine along with suboxone and synthetic marijuana, according to police.

Chavis is alleged to have entered the prison with the goal of passing the illegal drugs off to an inmate, police said.

Chavis was ticketed and released without bail, according to authorities, who said she faces one misdemeanor count of second-degree promoting prison contraband and four misdemeanor counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Chavis is to appear in Ossining Town Court on Jan. 10.
