Woman Robbed, Slashed While Leaving Kmart In Yorktown

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a woman at Kmart and cut her wrist with a knife Thursday.

At approximately 3:50 p.m., a woman was exiting Kmart and when a male approached, demanding money and her cell phone, according to Police Chief Jim McMahon.

The woman hesitated and the perpetrator cut her with a knife and ran off with the money and phone, McMahon said. The woman's injuries appear to be minor and police are currently investigating and looking for the perpetrator.
