Yorktown Heights Woman, 22, Charged With Petty Larceny

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Yorktown Police charged a local woman with petty larceny on Sunday after she allegedly stole hundreds of dollars worth of clothing from a department store she to works for, officials said.

Bernadetta Nokaj, 22, of Yorktown Heights allegedly hid $432 worth of clothing from Sears on Lee Blvd. in a bag and tried to exit the store without paying, police said.

Nokaj also allegedly undercharged a customer for a leather jacket and failed to charge said customer for additional items, totaling $204 on Saturday, police said.

Nokaj was charged with petty larceny and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 11, police said.
