Yorktown Man, 31, Charged With Possessing Heroin, Xanax, Hypodermic Needles

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A Yorktown man was arrested on drug charges after he was found injured on a bike path, police said.

Joseph A. Colaizzi, 31, of Yorktown was charged with two counts of criminal possession and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.

Police received a call on July 2 at 11:48 a.m. of an injured man on a bike path. Officers and a medic responded to find that Colaizzi was the injured man and that he was in possession of heroin, Xanax and hypodermic needles.

The suspect was arrested on the scene and brought to headquarters, he was released on $100 bail with a future court date on Aug. 2.
