Yorktown Man Charged After Flooding Taconic Parkway, Police Say

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A Yorktown Heights man was arrested and charged for allegedly flooding the Taconic State Parkway.

According to Yorktown Police, Robert Schulhafter, 54, a pool service worker, drained a swimming pool at 2192 Mohansic Ave. in the direction of the parkway, resulting in the accumulation of around 5,000 gallons of water in the southbound travel lanes during morning rush hour. 

Schulhafter was arrested and charged with depositing material on a public highway for allegedly creating the heavy water condition. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on July 12 at 6 p.m.
