Police said an officer was dispatched to Route 202 on the report of an erratic operator. The officer located the vehicle traveling eastbound on Route 202 and the officer reported that the vehicle crossed the double yellow lines and then drove on the shoulder of the roadway, police said. The vehicle was stopped for the traffic infractions and the operator was identified as Hardman, police said.
Following an investigation, police found that Hardman was operating the vehicle while in an intoxicated condition, police said. Hardman was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown police department for processing.
Following processing on charges, Hardman was issued an appearance ticket and released to a family member. Hardman is expected to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Jan. 29 at 6 p.m.
