The three honorees are Grady School fifth-grade teacher Patricia Byrne, Dixson Primary School first-grade teacher Fabiola Diaz and Hamilton High School science teacher Richard MacLeish.
All three received certificates from Superintendent Joseph Ricca.
Byrne was lauded by Grady principal Douglas Doller, who called her "dedicated" and noted that she's often early to work and late to leave. Parent Tina Harper noted that she stands out "by making learning fun."
Diaz was called "dedicated and passionate" in parent Yvette Jones' nominating letter, and Dixson Principal Jeffrey Olender noted Diaz's success with the school's dual language program.
MacLeish was honored by Hamilton Principal Marc Baiocco in his remarks.
“The rapport he builds with students is absolutely amazing,” said Baiocco.
