Newtown Police Seek Suspect After Burglary Spree In Sandy Hook NEWTOWN, Conn. -- The Newtown Police Department is seeking information on a suspect connected to five residential burglaries that all occurred in Sandy Hook, police said. All the burglaries showed signs of forced entry, police said.  A video surveillance system captured images of a bald white male wearing a white baseball cap with blue on the edge of its brim, a white, blue and gray horizontal striped shirt and khaki shorts, police said.  The suspect might be driving a black pickup truck and frequent the Waterbury area, police said. Metro-North Begins Electronic Ticketing For Harlem Line Metro-North's eTix electronic ticketing service will begin on the Harlem Line on Monday morning, according to lohud.com. The service will begin with the 4:26 a.m. train out of Southeast, the report said. As previously reported, the service that allows commuters to purchase train tickets from their smartphones made its debut earlier this summer. The service will be available to New Haven Line riders in August.  The Metropolitan Transportation Authority plans to all of the east of Hudson lines before the summer concludes, lohud reported. Northvale Blanket Makers Seek Yarn To Help Sick Kids NORTHVALE, N.J. -- The James F. McGuire Memorial Senior Citizen Center is seeking donations of yarn.  The blanket makers are looking for four-ply acrylic yarn in pastel colors.  Blankets will be donated to Hackensack University Hospital's Imus Center for Tomorrow's Children and the pediatric ward of Pascack Valley Hospital. Kids Can Learn Ceramics In Hyde Park HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Artists' Collective of Hyde Park will host a ceramic workshop for kids on Saturdays, July 30 and Aug. 6. John Lavin will show kids ages 10 and older how to create tropical fish out of clay and how to paint them.
