Route 6 Reopens After Head-On Crash Near Yorktown Border

A stretch of Route 6 near the Northern Westchester/Putnam border has reopened Friday morning following a head-on crash with multiple injuries reported.

The closure was between Mahopac Avenue in Somers and Windsor Road in Yorktown following the 7:20 a.m. crash.

Eastbound traffic was diverted to Route 6N, westbound traffic used Mahopac Avenue to Route 202/35 during the closure of about an hour-and-a-half.
