Garden State Parkway Crash Causes Two-Mile Backup In Ocean County
A crash on the Garden State Parkway had traffic backed up for more than two miles in Brick Township in the afternoon on Friday, Jan. 12. The NJDOT says the crash happened southbound on the parkway near exit 91 B-A just before 3:30 p.m. Two lanes of traffic were closed as crews responded to the scene. Tractor-Trailer Becomes Fully Engulfed In Flames On NJ Turnpike (

A tractor-trailer caught fire on the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County, authorities said. New Jersey State Police responded at 4:11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 to a vehicle fire on the New Jersey Turnpike south outers, milepost 53.7 in Bordentown Township, according to spokesman Trooper Troy McNair. Upon troopers' arrival, a Wabash tractor-trailer was found fully engulfed in flames, McNair said. There were no injuries reported and the cause remains under investigation, he said. The right shoulder remained blocked as of 11 a.m., 511nj.org reported.

Police ID Dump Truck Driver Killed In 3-Truck Crash In Trenton
Trenton police have identified the driver of a dump truck killed in a collision with two other dump trucks on Wednesday, Jan. 3. Milky Sosa, 51, of Bloomfield in Essex County, died in the crash, Trenton police said. The drivers of the other dump trucks suffered minor injuries in the Route 129 collision. A dump truck driver was killed in a chain reaction crash Wednesday, Jan. 3, authorities said. The crash involving three dump trucks closed all lanes of a major Trenton roadway, Trenton police said.
