Westchester Resident Jeffrey Tambor Gets 2017 Emmy Nod
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The 2017 Emmy nominations are out and once again, Westchester's own Jeffrey Tambor is on the list.
Tambor, who's won in the past for his role in Amazon's "Transparent," was selected again. The Cross River resident, selected as "Best Actor in a Comedy Series," is up against Anthony Anderson of "Black-ish," Aziz Ansari, of "Master of None," Zach Galifianakis of "Baskets," Donald Glover of "Atlanta," and William H. Macy of "Shameless."

27 Years Later, Cancer Loss Still Haunts This Westchester Runner
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Evan Konwiser has made it his mission to raise funds for cancer research.
And so, for the fourth year in a row, he'll be participating in the Runyon 5K at Yankee Stadium. His goal? To eradicate having one less family member lose their life to cancer. The New Rochelle resident lost his sister, Jill, then 11, in the 1980s to a rare form of the disease.
For the first time ever, his mom, Ava Konwiser, will also be participating (she's usually a spectator).

Folk-rock singer-songwriter and guitarist, Dan Zlotnick will release his upcoming album, Bumpers, at The Burger Barn on Sunday, June 11 with a release party.

Zlotnick, a Somers resident -- and former independent league professional baseball player -- recorded Bumpers at The Loft Recording Studios in Bronxville and PREP Sound Studios in Queens with the help of local talent James Marchionno (drums), Al Hemberger (bass), Patricia Santos (cello), Simon O’Keefe (piano), and Ron Stenz (organ).
