Flannery Avenue between Corlies Avenue and Maple Street and Muldowney Circle between Flannery Avenue and the dead end will be closed to regular traffic. Clarkstown Police Lead Texting While Driving Accident Demonstration CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. – ‪The Clarkstown Police Department and other local departments recently held a simulated driving while texting/DWI accident at Clarkstown North High School for the Class of 2016. Police led a scenario where the driver was arrested for texting while driving and DWI, while the other occupants sustained serious injuries and one death. The various departments helping out were the New City Fire Department, New City Volunteer Ambulance, STAT Flight and Higgins Funeral Home along with the high school administration.

Easton Property Tax Rate Rises Slightly For 2016-17 EASTON, Conn. – Easton residents will see local taxes rise slightly in 2016-17, according to the Easton Courier. The town's Board of Finance met on June 7 to set the new mill rate at 30.81 per $1,000 of assessed value, the Courier said. As a result, the tax rate will rise 1.34 percent from 2015-16, reported the Easton Courier. Norwalk Teen Charged With Creating 'Hit List' NORWALK, Conn. – A Norwalk High School student was arrested and charged by police on Saturday, and accused of compiling a hit list of students, according to The Hour. The teenager was charged with 29 counts of breach of peace, one for each student on the list, The Hour said.
